Five policemen have been shot dead in Iraq as they manned a check point west of Baghdad. The attackers opened fire from a passing car in a desert town which is on the main road linking Baghdad with Jordan and Syria. The town is in Ambar Province which is an Al Qaeda stronghold until 2008 when US military started forming militias.
