Five persons were detained by the Jammu and Kashmir police in Kishtwar on Thursday after investigations traced the HuJI e-mail claiming responsibility for Delhi High Court blast. AIR Jammu correspondent reports that a police team led by the DIG of the area, along with some computer experts, questioned the detained people for several hours on Thursday. It was found that the e-mail was sent from Kishtwar district which was once a hub of HuJi militants. The NIA has announced a reward of five lakh rupees for any information from the general public about the blast culprits. Home Secretary RK Singh said in New Delhi on Thursday that shrapnel was used in the blast to maximise the impact and casualties. Mr.Singh has also received the preliminary forensic report on the blast. The NIA and the Delhi police have ruled out the angle of the Santro car being used in the incident. Home secretary RK Singh said that the car had nothing to do with the incident. Another e-mail has been received by the media houses in Mumbai and Delhi purportedly written by Indian Mujahideen who claimed responsibility for the Delhi High Court blasts. The mail claimed that another blast will take place at a shopping mall. Sources said, as of now nothing was being left to chance and the origin of the mail was being ascertained and if need be, the service provider would also be contacted. Talking to reporters in New Delhi on Thursday, Secretary, Internal Security, U.K. Bansal said, the agencies are seriously examining the purported IM e-mail. National Investigation Agency chief S C Sinha on Thursday met Delhi Police Commissioner B K Gupta and discussed modalities about investigation into the blast. A team of NIA officials also interacted with Special Cell officials of Delhi police. Union Home Minister P Chidambaram also chaired a meeting of the Chiefs of the Research and Analysis Wing, Intelligence Bureau and NIA yesterday, to review the security situation. The Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister and Union Home Secretary visited Dr. Ram Manohar Hospital yesterday and met those injured in the bomb blast. They reviewed the existing arrangements in the hospital and decided that a Facilitation Team will be placed at the RML Hospital to coordinate between hospital authorities and kins of injured. Meanwhile, The death toll in the blast has risen to 13. with one more person succumbing to injuries last night at Ram Manohar Lohia hospital, according to the police and hospital sources. Ninety-one people have been injured and some of them face amputation due to injuries caused by shrapnel. In another development, the Delhi High Court decided to beef up its security by installing 49 more CCTV cameras, besides the existing 21, at various strategic locations in and around the court premises within three weeks. In a high-level meeting yesterday, it was also decided to install four vehicle scanners at entry points of the court complex.
