Five people killed in anti govt protests in Tehran

In Iran, five people including nephew of Mir-Hossein Mousavi, Seyyed Ali Mousavi were killed in the anti-government protests in the capital Tehran on Sunday. According to Iranian channel Press TV, Iran's deputy police chief Ahmad-Reza Radan while confirming the deaths has claimed that the police force was not involved in the killings. He said the incidents are under investigation. Iranian police also claimed that forces fired shots into the air and tear gas to disperse protestors. The TV channel reported that Tehran witnessed sporadic anti-government protests on the anniversary of the Shia Muslim Ashura religious event, with clashes between the protestors and the security forces. Protests spread to some central and downtown streets in Tehran. Several banks, bus stops and a number of trash-cans were set on fire. There were reports of protests in the city of Tabriz also.
