In Orissa, at least five Maoists have reportedly been killed during exchange of fires between the red-ultras and security forces in Koraput district today. Security forces fired at the Maoists when they tried to ambush in the nearby areas of Podapadar. Security forces have also seized landmines and other explosives from the area. Our correspondent reports that high alert has been issued in Narayanpatna and combing operation has begun to nab the Maoists.<br/> <br/>Meanwhile, the bodies of the CRPF Jawans killed in a powerful landmine blast in the Bijapur district of Chhattisgath yesterday are being sent to their respective home states today. 8 Jawans of the 168 battalion of the CRPF including a sub-inspector were killed in the landmine blast triggered by the Naxalites near Padekodepal last evening.
