In Karnataka, five people were killed when the Indica car in which they were travelling, fell into Tungabhadra High Level canal near Bellary in the wee hours today. A family of six met with the accident at about 2.30 am when the driver lost control of the car while returning from Shirdi on National Highway 63. After the accident Mallikarjuna swam to safety but his wife, mother, sister in law and his two children drowned when the car fell into the canal.
