<span style="color: #222222;">Five people were killed and 38 others injured after 9 coaches including the engine of the New Farakka Express train derailed near Harchandpur railway station in Raebareli this morning. The accident happened nearly 77km south of Uttar Pradesh capital Lucknow. The train was going to New Delhi from Malda town in West Bengal.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Chief Public Relation Officer of Northen Railway Rajeev Kumar told AIR that four persons who were seriously injured are being treated at Lucknow's King George Medical University. The other injured are being treated in Rae Bareli. The officials said, several injured persons were discharged after treatment.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Railway Board Chairman Ashwani Lohani and several other senior officers visited the spot. Rescue operation has been finished by NDRF team with the help of local administration. The restoration of railway track is going on. A total of 33 trains have been affected due to the derailment. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Expressing grief over the accident, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal announced an ex-gratia of 5 lakh rupees for the next of the kin of the deceased in the accident.
