In Uttar Pradesh 5 persons were killed and 13 injured in two separate road accidents at Jhansi and Ballia districts while 5 others were feared drowned at Ghazipur and Bulandshahr districts.<br/> Quoting police sources our Lucknow correspondent reports that in Jhansi district at least three people were crushed to death and seven others injured, when a vehicle they were traveling overturned at Ranipur area. In Ballia two pilgrims were killed and six others injured when their jeep collided with a tractor here early today. The jeep carrying pilgrims going for a holy dip in river Ganga on the occasion of Kartik Purnima.<br/> In Ghazipur district one person was killed and at least three persons were feared drowned when a boat capsized in Gomti River in Khampur area. Police said that while three women were rescued by fishermen, four persons were feared drowned. In Bulandshahr two people are feared drowned while two others were injured when a jeep in which they were traveling slipped into Ganga Canal under Debai police station.
