In Chhattisgarh, naxalites have abducted five jawans in the Narayanpur district on Tuesday. According to police sources, armed naxal cadres intercepted a passenger bus this forenoon near Kungera village under Dhanora police station area. They reportedly frisked the passengers and kidnapped six of them including five jawans of the Chhattisgarh Armed Forces. Police personnel have been pressed into service to track the abducted jawans. The incident comes a day before the Republic Day when the police forces have been alerted for the occasion.
