In Iraq, five Iraqi soldiers have been killed and twelve others injured today in an explosive charge blast in the capital Baghdad. According to Iraqi National News Agency, the blast took place due to an improvised explosive device (IED) near the concrete barriers close to an army checkpoint in al-Mansour neighbourhood of western Baghdad.<br/>Meanwhile in a separate incident, 13 members of a tribe who took up arms against Al-Qaeda were killed in an attack by some unidentified gunmen dressed in Iraqi army uniforms. According to security officials the gunmen attacked Seadan village near Baghdad before dawn. The gunmen ordered residents out of their houses, lined them up in a field and shot 6 of them dead. Spokesman for the Iraqi army's Baghdad operation, Major General Qassim Atta confirming the toll said that the first indications is that 13 people were killed in the tribal conflict.<br/><br/>
