A two-day meeting of five eastern states convened by Planning Commission will begin in Patna on Monday to draft an approach paper for the twelfth five year plan. Deputy Chairman of Planning Commission Montek Singh Ahluwalia will preside over the meeting. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, his Orissa counterpart Naveen Patnaik, Deputy Chief Ministers of Jharkhand – Hemant Soren and Sudesh Mahato, and representatives of Chattisgarh and West Bengal will participate in the deliberations. AIR Patna correspondent reports that the approach paper of the Planning Commission will have the basic framework on three subjects – agriculture, social sector and inclusive growth.
