Five persons belonging to separate political parties were today arrested on the charge of influencing voters by distributing cash in Madhubani and Muzaffarpur, police said. Four LJP activists were arrested, while trying to influence some voters with cash at Benipatti in Madhubani district. A case was registered against the LJP nominee S K Singh for Benippatti assembly constituency. In another incident, Lalbabu Sharma, and aid of BJP nominee Veena Devi, was arrested and 2.32 rupees seized from his campaign vehicle at Gausnagar village in Muzaffarpur district. Veena Devi is contesting from Gayghat assembly constituency.
