Union Minister for State for Finance Jayant Sinha has said that recent macro-economic indicators have shown positive trend and the structural reforms undertaken have started contributing to the sustainable growth. Addressing the first Meeting of State Finance Secretaries in New Delhi yesterday, Mr Sinha stressed the need to increase social sector spending and at the same time strive to remain on path of fiscal consolidation. He dwelt upon priorities for an inclusive growth and access to financial services. Secretaries of 29 States and two Union Territories participated in the event.
