The Punjab Government. is hosting Pearls World Cup Kabaddi 2010 from today. In this 11-day extravaganza nine teams from as many countries will compete for the highest ever Prize Money of 2.2 crore rupees in all. The tournament will be inaugurated by the Chief Minister along with the Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab who also holds the Sports portfolio, at YPS Stadium in Patiala. The inaugural match will be held between India and United States tonight. The closing ceremony will be held at Ludhiana on April 12.
