The first Kabbadi World Cup for women is to be held in Patna from March first to 4th next year. This was announced by Janaradan Singh Gehlot, President of International Kabaddi Federation, who is also President of the Amateur Kabbadi Federation of India. He was in Patna for the 38th junior national Kabaddi championship 2011. Gehlot said besides hosts India, teams from 15 countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Italy, Japan, Indonesia, China, Iran and neighbouring Bangladesh, Nepal, Myanmar and Sri Lanka are set to take part in the competition.
