The first session of the newly elected Telangana Assembly began this morning. Pro-tem speaker Mumtaz Ahmed Khan is administering the oath under the Constitution of India and also the rules of the Assembly to the members. As per the customs, Chief Minister and Leader of the House, K Chandrasekhar Rao has been sworn in as a member of the Assembly first and followed by the six women members. Then the other members took oath in the alphabetical order of their names. <br />''<br />''The notification for the election of the Speaker has been issued.   Nominations will be accepted until this evening. However, the ruling TRS is making efforts to make the election unanimous. MIM and BJP already declared that they will support the ruling party candidate.
