First Oxygen Express reaches Andhra Pradesh with two Containers containing 40 MT of LMO

<span style="color: #222222;">The first Oxygen Express to the State of Andhra Pradesh was received today at Krishnapatnam Port with two Containers bringing 40 metric tons of Liquid Medical Oxygen.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">This train was operated from Durgapur in West Bengal and traversed a distance of nearly 1,650 kms in around 27 hours.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Railways have operated the train along the Green Corridor which has helped in moving the Oxygen Express at an average speed of 65 Kmph.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Liquid Medical Oxygen is a Cryogenic Cargo which has certain limitations in transportation in terms of the maximum speed, maximum acceleration & deceleration and loading restrictions (like availability of liquid oxygen tankers, loading ramps, decanting facilities, etc).</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Taking into consideration all these factors, Railways have been operating Oxygen Express trains by identifying Green Corridors for their transportation.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Oxygen Express trains are being operated by the Indian Railways across the length and breadth of the country as per the request of the State Governments.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Accordingly, Oxygen Express Trains have already been received in the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh over South Central Railways.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Since the start of May 2021, 04 Oxygen Express trains have been received in Telangana. All these trains have been received at Sanath Nagar Goods Complex / Container Depots in the Hyderabad Town.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In addition to it, one more Oxygen Express train has started for Telangana from Gujarat and another train is ready for loading in Odisha.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">These combindly are brining 08 tankers filled with nearly 140 tonnes of LMO.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Similarly, the first Oxygen Train to Andhra Pradesh has been received today to meet the needs of LMO in the State.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Close on the heels of the first train, another Oxygen Train has already started from Kanalus in Gujarat with 4 Container tankers bringing 76.39 tonnes of Liquid Medical Oxygen.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Second Oxygen Express is bound for Guntur, AP.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Gajanan Mallya, General Manager, SCR has said that Indian Railways are operating Oxygen Express to provide safe and fast transportation of Liquid Medical Oxygen to meet the requirements of the States.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He said that all these trains are being operated with utmost priority providing a green corridor for their transportation.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He advised all Officers and Staff to maintain continuous monitoring of the movement of this train, while taking all necessary precautions. </span><br />''  <br />
