In Tamil Nadu, the first fair price medical shop was opened by the state Co-operation minister Mr Kosi Mani in Chennai on Monday. Inaugurating the facility, the minister said 50 such shops throughout the state will be opened by the co-operative department by the end of next month. He said 14 shops have been opened today and will sell allopathic and Indian medicines at 15 % discount. The shops have been launched following complaints of sale of fake drugs in private medical shops.
