The maiden Kerala Games- 2022, a mega multi-sporting event conducted by the  Kerala Olympics Association gets underway in Thiruvananthapuram today. State Sports Minister V. Abdurahiman formally inaugurated the event at the Kerala University Stadium last evening.

The 10-day  Kerala Games will feature competitions in 24 sports disciplines at over 10 venues. Sports persons from across the State are expected to participate.

A marathon was held in the capital early this morning ahead of the event.
