Thousands of people have visited the Kalaivanar Hall in the city, where more than four lakh flowers of different species are on display in a variety of formations since last Friday.<br />''<br />''Generally, annual summer festivals are being held in the hill resort towns including Ooty, Kodaikanal and Yercaud for long. This is the first time a similar event has been organised by the state horticulture department in the capital city.<br />'' <br />''Some of the displays in the exhibition are the flower-made depictions of the seven kings of the Sangam era who are known for their acts of charity. Colourful and fragrant flowers including rose, ginger lily, chrysanthemum, celosia, carnation, lilyums, orchids, gerbera, gladiolus and a host of other cut-flower varieties are used in the exhibition.</span><br />
