The first consignment of COVID vaccine reached Telangana a short while ago. Over 3.7 lakh doses in over 30 boxes of Covishield manufactured by the Serum Institute have arrived at Samshabad International Airport in a cargo flight. The same has been moved to a COVID centre located at Koti in Hyderabad for keeping it in cold conditions. Senior officials from Public Health, Police and other departments have coordinated the fast track green channel to clear the traffic for the freezer vehicle from the Samshabad International airport to the Storage Centre located at Koti which is about 40 kilometres.
