First commercial flight lands at new Terminal 3

The first commercial flight of the world's largest passenger aircraft, the A380, today landed at the new Terminal 3 at Delhi's Indira Gandhi Airport. <br/><br/>The Emirates A380 Super Jumbo from Dubai to Delhi arrived at Terminal 3 at about 4 pm, after an hour's delay due to bad weather. <br/><br/>The new Terminal 3, which received its first flight only yesterday, is country's only airport terminal capable of receiving A380 flights.<br/><br/>Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh had inaugurated the terminal on July 3 last. The spanking new world-class terminal is expected to handle 34 million passengers every year.<br/>
