The first biotech park of the North-East, being set up at Indian Institute of Technology campus at North Guwahati in Assam, is ready for hosting entrepreneurs and firms. Chief Executive Officer of the Park, Mr. Anil Chandra Ghosh said, a host of facilities are to be provided to the prospective entrepreneurs of the region to carry out research and developing products in biotechnology, pharmaceutical and allied fields in the newly set up biotech park. He said the park is ready to use modular labs and other molecular biology equipment. AIR correspondent reports, the Biotech Park is a visionary project launched by an autonomous society under the Government of Assam for the uplift of science and technology entrepreneurship in North-East India.
