<span style="color: #222222;">The first batch of first Battalion of Ladakh Scouts Regiment Centre, LSRC, has reached Abyei in Africa, for the United Nations Peace Mission. The LSRC Battalion reached Abyei yesterday to be part of the United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei, UNISFA.<br />''<br />''Abyei is spread over a Ten Thousand 546-square kilometre area between Sudan and South Sudan in Africa.  <br />''<br />''Abyei has been accorded Special Administrative Status by the 2004 Protocol on the Resolution of the Abyei Conflict (the Abyei Protocol) in the Comprehensive Peace Agreement, CPA, to end the Second Sudanese Civil War. On arrival, the Ladakh Scouts were received and provided with a welcome reception by the present Pakistan Battalion in Abyei.</span><br />
