The first batch of 180 Indian pilgrims reached in Jeddah where they were received at the Haj terminal by the Indian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Talmiz Ahmad. More than one lakh sixty thousand pilgrims are scheduled to arrive from India this year for Haj. Ambassador Talmiz Ahmad informed at a press conference in Jeddah that one lakh 25 thousand Indian pilgrims are coming through arrangements made with the Haj Committee of India and about 45 thousand five hundred pilgrims will perform Haj through Indian-based private tour operators.
