Firefighter dies while trying to douse blaze at restaurant in Maharashtra's Thane

A fireman was killed and another injured while trying to douse a fire at a restaurant in Kalyan in Thane district of Maharashtra early morning today. Sub-officer of Aadharwadi fire station in Kalyan said, six firemen were rushed to Golden Park housing society after receiving the call around 1 am about the blaze. <br />'' <br />''The official said, while the team was trying to put out the flames, an explosion took place at the food joint, killing 57-year-old fireman Jagan Amle on the spot. Another firefighter received burn injuries in the mishap and was admitted to a nearby hospital. <br />''<br />''<br />''The other firemen managed to control the blaze and cooling operation was now underway at the site.
