Fire broke out at room number 14 and 15 of the Finance Ministry's North Block office in New Delhi at around 5:45 this morning.

Fire official Karamvir Singh Yadav said six fire tenders were immediately rushed to the spot. He said, the fire was doused within 30 minutes.

However, he said that computers, files and furnitures in the two rooms were gutted by then. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
