In Madhya Pradesh, a major fire today broke out at the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, BSNL, office-cum-exchange situated at Royal Market area in Bhopal, disrupting the telephone and mobile services in the city. A number of fire engines rushed to the spot. Sixteen fire personnel suffered injuries while controlling the blaze.They have been admitted in a hospital. The police said the blaze started on top floor of the office early in the morning possibly due to short-circuit and soon assumed alarming proportions. Besides fire brigade, services of Army were too requisitioned to control the blaze. According to police so far there is no report of injuries to any civilian in the incident.
