A major fire broke out at the laboratory of the prestigious Presidency College in Kolkata on Friday. Fire Brigade personal brought the fire under control after 6 hours. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. Higher Education Minister Sudarshan Roy Chowdhury and city Mayor Sovan Chatterjee visited the college to take stock of the situation.
