Fire at PNB office in Delhi

A fire broke out in a building housing Punjab National Bank in New Delhi's Parliament Street on Wednesday. Although many people were trapped inside the building but fire service officials rescued all and there were no casualties. The fire was reported at around 4:45 PM.Fire services department told AIR that twenty-five fire tenders were rushed to the spot and fire was brought under within an hour. The six-storey building is in the heart of Delhi and in the vicinity of the Patel Chowk metro station.UCO Bank is also situated in the same building. Six Skylifts and Hydraulics were used to bring out people trapped on upper floors and those who went to the terrace to escape the smoke. Cause of fire is not yet known.
