A major fire which had broke out at the raw-material dump of Khanna Paper Mill in Amritsar, yesterday afternoon has still not been doused properly though the Fire Brigade Department is working round the clock since then. However, no casualty has been reported in the incident.Senior Fire Officer, Amritsar, Harjinder Singh Virdi has told that the fire tenders from all over Punjab and Chandigarh also have been requisitioned for dousing the fire which is still simmering. The fire which has been spread in an area of about 40 acres is likely to be brought under control by this afternoon.Occupants of 30 to 40 houses located adjoining the site have also been vacated as a precautionary measure.
