Fire and Fury Corps Chief of Staff flags off White Water Rafting Expedition on Indus River in Leh

Fire and Fury Corps Chief of Staff Major General Arvind Kapoor flagged off White Water Rafting Expedition on Indus River today in Leh. <br />'' <br />'' The Indian Army is celebrating 20th Anniversary of Operation Kargil with a series of events in the region. <br />'' <br />'' As part of Kargil Vijay Diwas celebrations a 210 Kilometer White Water Rafting Expedition is undertaken by the 27 member Parashu Brigade led by Capt Hrishikesh Ghogare from Nyoma to Nimu is flagged off by Major General Kapoor. <br />'' <br />'' The team will traverse from an altitude varying from 13,700 feet to 10,300 feet. The team has taken up this longest rafting with an aim of setting up a National Record with India Book of Records. <br />'' <br />'' The expedition will commemorate the sacrifices of the brave soldiers who overcame seemingly insurmountable odds, hostile terrain, weather and determined enemy occupying domination heights, to win the Kargil war. <br />''
