FIR lodged against UP govt's Min Raja Bhaiya in connection with the killing of a Deputy SP

In Uttar Pradesh, police has lodged an FIR against Food and Civil Supplies Minister of the state government, Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya in the killing of a deputy superintendent of police, Zia ul Haq. Police have lodged a case against the minister under IPC 120B (conspiracy of murder). Ziaul Haq, a 2009 batch police officer and Deputy SP of Kunda, was killed in a clash on Saturday.

Our correspondent reports that the state government has announced an ex-gratia of twenty lakhs rupees to the kin of the deceased police officer.

Meanwhile,Allegations have been made against the Minister and his four supporters including Chairman Kunda Nagar Panchayat for hatching conspiracy for murder of police officer. Wife of the deceased police officer has named the Minister and his men in her application given to the local police in the case. Two separate FIRs have also been lodged naming nine persons for murder of a Gram Pradhan and his brother. No arrests have been made yet in the killing three persons including Dy SP. Missing service revolver and mobile phone of the killed police officer yet have not been recovered. District police chief has been removed. Opposition parties have demanded judicial probe into the case. Large numbers of police forces have been deployed in the area to maintain law and order and senior police officers are also camping.
