In Uttar Pradesh, FIR has been lodged against Samajwadi Party candidate from Kairana Lok Sabha seat Nahid Hasan for making derogatory remarks against BJP leader Narendra Modi and BSP leader Mayawati.

Police said the FIR has been lodged under different sections against the SP nominee on the basis of Video of his speech. Addressing a rally in Shamli Nahid Hasan has made objectionable remarks against both Narendra Modi and Mayawati mentioning their marital status.
