FIR filed against SP candidate from Pratapgarh in UP for obstructing govt work

In Uttar Pradesh, FIRs have been lodged against ruling Samajwadi Party candidate Pramod Patel in Pratapgarh constituency and Bahujan Samaj Party candidate Hazi Yakub Qureshi in Moradabad district for violation of model code of conduct and creating hindrances in government working.

District Police Chief Deepak Kumar told our Allahabad correspondent that a complaint was received that the SP candidate had organised public meeting without permission and also threatened and manhandled a police sub inspector when he was taking photographs of the meeting through his smart phone. Meanwhile Patel has denied the allegations.

Moradabad District Magistrate said that FIR has been lodged against BSP nominee for violation of model code of conduct. He said complaint was received that BSP candidate Qureshi was distributing petrol free of cost and engaging vehicles in campaigning without permission.
