FIR against Amar Singh for hurting religious sentiments

In Uttar Pradesh an FIR has been registered against Samajwadi Party national general secretary Amar Singh at Lucknow. He has been alleged for hurting religious sentiments of Shia community during electioneering. Quoting police sources AIR Lucknow correspondent reports that the FIR was lodged by some Shia community leaders who said that Singh had compared former BJP leader and Chief Minister Kalyan Singh with Karbala martyr hurting their sentiments. Shia Youth Front activists also burnt effigy of Amar Singh at Bada Imambara, while demanding strict action.<br/>
