FIR against 16 PAC personnel in alleged rape case in Bhatta – Parsaul

The Noida Police in Uttar Pradesh has finally lodged a case for the alleged rape of a woman from Bhatta Parsaul villages against 16 PAC personnel.

The Station House Officer SHO Dankaur police station of the district told AIR that the FIR has been lodged against unidentified Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) personnel on late Monday evening.

The alleged rape cases had come to light after Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi visited the two villages in the second week of May immediately after the violent incidents.

AIR correspondent reports that the National Commission for Schedule Castes had also asked the district police to lodge the case on the basis of affidavits from 7 women from the village to the Commission, but police had not responded.
