Secretary in the Department of Financial Services D K Mittal has been given additional charge of the Disinvestment Department. An official statement said, the additional charge is for a period of two months .

The current secretary in the Disinvestment department Mohammad Haleem Khan retired on November 30th.

Mittal, a 1977 batch IAS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre, was appointed the Secretary in the Department of Financial Services in August last year.

Prior to that he was Secretary in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs from February 2011.

Mittal was additional secretary in the Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, prior to becoming corporate affairs secretary.
