The Finance Minister Mr. Pranab Mukherjee will review the annual performance of Public Sector Insurance Companies today in New Delhi.

During his meeting with the Chief Executive Officers of Public sector insurance companies, focus will be to have a business strategy for 2012-13 onwards.

A road map for healthy balance between the growth and long-term business sustainability as well as providing accessibility of insurance coverage in unserved areas is expected to be at the centre of discussions.

The meeting will also review business process including policy renewals and claim settlement as well as grievance redressal mechanism. Emphasis will also be to widen the coverage under agriculture insurance to cover farmers who have availed loan facility and those who have not taken it.
