Financial assistance to farmers who could not plant crops due to flood: Bihar CM

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said farmers who could not plant their crops due to flood would also be provided financial assistance from the state government.<br />''<br />''Mr Kumar instructed officials to make a proper assessment for all other cases of crop losses and ensure timely financial assistance to the affected farmers across the state. The Chief Minister said a population of over 69 lakh in altogether 26 districts has so far been affected by flood in Bihar.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #000000;">The number of affected families is 16 lakh 60 thousand. Nitish Kumar said over 477 crore rupees have been distributed as relief among about eight lakh affected families. The rest of the affected families would be provided the relief by the end of this month. Bihar government is providing rupees six thousand to each of the flood affected family.</span><br />
