Finance Secretary Ratan P. Watal yesterday held a coordination cum review meeting with the Secretaries and Chief Economic Adviser of the Ministry of Finance in New Delhi.<br/><br/>Mr Watal took stock of the work in progress and discussed pending policy issues in different departments of the Ministry. He called for expeditious action in such matters. <br/><br/>This was the first meeting taken by Mr Watal after becoming the Finance Secretary at the beginning of this month.<br/><br/>The meeting also discussed issues relating to better coordination among all the Departments of the Ministry especially in view of Budgetary exercise which has already started. <br/><br/>Finance Secretary said, such meetings will be now held on regular basis and to begin with, on weekly basis.
