Finance Ministry has called a meeting of chiefs of public sector banks next week to review their financial performance and Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, PMJDY. The meeting will also focus on the issues of asset quality recovery of bad loans, Credit to farm sector, housing and education loans. Besides, there would be deliberation on lending to stalled projects.
