Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has said that the government is taking every step required to ramp up Covid-19 vaccination in the country. She said that vaccination will give the people of the country a scientifically tested immunity against the variants of coronavirus. <br />''<br />''Ms Sitharaman was addressing a Webinar on Resurgent India: Building Healthcare Infrastructure for New India. She said that vaccination is nearly a sure shot protection against Covid-19, however, the government is still insisting on the following of covid protocols like wearing of a mask and maintaining social distancing.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #000000;">She added that the government is reviving the pandemic-affected economy and it is also reviving the economy in the context of for god forbid- the possible third wave of Covid-19. The Finance Minister said that the government is implementing Loan Guarantee Scheme for Covid Affected Sectors so that hospitals can enhance facilities like beds and devices. She called every stakeholder to work together to ramp up capacities in hospitals to prevent a possible third wave.</span><br />
