The Finance Minister and Leader of the Lok Sabha Pranab Mukherjee on Tuesday held a meeting with the NDA chairman L K Advani on the Gujarat Lokayukta issue.

The BJP has been demanding recall of Governor saying the appointment of Lokayukta in the state is unconstitutional as the Chief Minister was not consulted.

The Congress members of Parliament from Gujarat on Tuesday held a demonstration in front of Mahatma Gandhi statue in Parliament complex. They charged Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi of adopting corrupt practices.
