Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley left for a ten-day visit to the United States last night. During his visit, Mr Jaitley will address annual World Bank-International Monetary Fund meetings and later visit Peru. He will also deliver a lecture at the Columbia University on the reform measures taken by the Modi government. <br/><br/>The Finance Minister is being accompanied by RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan, Economic Affairs Secretary Shaktikanta Das and Chief Economic Adviser Arvind Subramanian. <br/><br/>Mr Jaitley will also participate in the G-20 and BRICS Finance Ministers meetings on the sidelines of the Fund-Bank meetings, where he is expected to highlight various reform measures undertaken by India.
