Finance Minister Arun Jaitley today introduced the Central Goods and Services Tax (Extension to Jammu and Kashmir) Bill, 2017 in the Lok Sabha. The bill provides for the extension of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 to Jammu and Kashmir. <br/><br/>Earlier, the government has promulgated an Ordinance on 8th of this month extending the provisions of the CGST Tax Act, 2017 to the State. Mr Jaitley also introduced the Integrated Goods and Services Tax(Extension to Jammu and Kashmir),Bill,2017. The bill seeks to provide for the extension of the IGST Act,2017 to the State. Earlier and Ordinance had been promulgated in this regard.
