The final Photo Electoral Rolls of all the sixty Assembly Constituencies of Manipur have been published on Monday.Briefing mediapersons at Imphal Monday evening, state Chief Electoral Officer(CEO) P C Lawmkunga said that the total number of electorates of the state as on the first of this month is 17,40,820 including 8,89,497 female electorates.Regarding preparations made for smooth and peaceful conduct of the state assembly elections which have been scheduled on the 28th of this month, he said that Income Tax officials have already arrived at Imphal for expenditure monitoring.He also said that one control room is also opening from tomorrow for the purpose and election related complaints may be lodged at a toll free number to be installed at the control room.He further said that concerned District Magistrates have already ordered to deposit licensed guns to nearest police stations for free and fair polls. The CEO said that about 3486 EVMs and 13 thousand polling personnel will be used in the state assembly elections.
