The last phase of Assembly polling is being held in Uttar Pradesh and Manipur today. Elaborate security arrangements have been made to ensure free, fair and peaceful polling.<br/> <br/>In Uttar Pradesh, voters will exercise their franchise from 7 this morning to 5 in the evening. However, in three constituencies of Robertsganj and Dudhhi in Naxal hit Sonebhadra district and Chakia in Chandauli district, the voting will conclude at 4 PM.<br/> <br/>A total of 40 constituencies spread over 7 districts of eastern region of the state will go for voting under this seventh and last phase. Districts covered in this phase of polls are Ghazipur, Varanasi, Jaunpur, Chandauli, Sant Ravidas Nagar Bhadohi, Sonebhadra and Mirzapur.<br/> <br/>As many as 14,560 polling centres have been set up for over one crore 41 Lakhs electorates to cast their votes. A total of 535 candidates including 51 women are in the fray.<br/> <br/>About 1850 polling centres and above 720 hamlets have been identified as critical and vulnerable and extra security measures have made there. The Election Commission has deployed about 1590 micro observers to keep an eye on poll process.<br/> <br/>Poll process from about 1600 polling centres will be web cast. Inter state border with Bihar, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand have been sealed and patrolling by security forces have been intensified.<br/> <br/>In Manipur, polling for 22 Assembly seats spread across ten districts will be held under tight security from seven in the morning till three in the afternoon. A total of about eight lakh voters will decide the electoral fortune of 98 candidates at 1151 polling stations in second and last phase of poll. State Chief Electoral Officer Vivek Kumar Dewangan said that the Assam Rifles and Army are also being deployed for domination and sanitization of the polling areas and emergency support to the Central Para-Military Force and State Forces.<br/> <br/> <br/>Patrolling has been strengthened and night curfew is being imposed along Indo-Myanmar border to ensure free, fair and peaceful polls.
