In Jharkhand fifth phase poll in 16 Assembly seats that concluded a shortwhile ago, 71 percent votes has been polled.
Speaking to media a short while ago, Chief Election Officer P K Jajoria said that today poll, like of four earlier phases, was also peaceful .
In today's poll, highest vote percentage was recorded in Pakur with 75.50 percent, and lowest was Dumka with 63 percent.
Mr. Jajoria also told reporters that the overall percentage of all the five phase poll in 81 seats has come as 66 percent, which is about 12 per cent higher than last Assembly election of 2009, and 2.5 percent more than this year Lok Sabha Election.
In Jammu and Kashmir, polling for the 5th and final phase of Assembly Elections is going on peacefully across the 20 constituencies in the three poll bound border districts of Jammu, Kathua and Rajouri today.
AIR correspondent reports that around 40 percent polling has been recorded when the report last came in.
