The fifth and final phase of panchayat polls in Jharkhand will take place tomorrow in 242 panchayats under 14 blocks of 5 districts from 7 AM to 3 PM, for which all the necessary arrangements have been made. Speaking to our Ranchi Correspondent, the State Election Commissioner S D Sharma said that he had already taken stock of the situation for peaceful and fair conduct of the panchayat poll and he will personally monitor the situation from 6 AM tomorrow. Meanwhile, the IG Operation of Jharkhand Police HQ R K Mallick told reporters in a Press Conference today that this time no air dropping of security forces will take place as all the forces have already reached the polling stations. A total of 376 company of security forces have been deployed for this fifth and final phase of panchayat polls. Police has, meanwhile defused two bombs in different parts of Jharkhand, one in Palamu and other in Giridih, ahead of the polls.
