Final Location Survey of two new road gauge Railway lines inaugurated in Arunachal

Union Minister of State for Railways, Manoj Sinha, today inaugurated the commencement of final Location Survey of two new broad gauge Railway lines in Arunachal Pradesh. The survey will be between Missamari-Tenga-Tawang-North Lakhimpur-Aalo-Silapathar and Pasighat-Tezu-Parsuram Kund-Rupai. <br/><br/>Addressing a gathering at Naharlagun Railway station, Mr. Sinha said, building railway and other infrastructure facilities in the North-east is Prime Minister Narendra Modi's top most priority. He said, the project which is to be carried out at above 9000 feet above sea level, will cost around 70 thousand crore rupees. He said, it not only strengthen the security of the nation but also help improve the socio-economic condition of the frontier state.<br/><br/>Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju, who was also present on the occasion, expressed concern on the non-settlement of land acquisitions in the state, which has delayed works in many roads and other projects. He appealed the people of the state to maintain peace and co-operate with the government in developmental activities.
